We’re Boon Lay Youth Club, a group of youths who plan, initiate and execute service projects and events for the residents of Boon Lay!



As the first youth club set up in the grassroots setting, Boon Lay Youth Club establishes a platform for youths to work with grassroots leaders to conceptualize projects and carry them through from start to finish.



Our highlight event of each year is the Countdown @ Boon Lay, which is one of the biggest countdown parties in the heartlands, attracting a crowd of over 30000 people yearly. Last year, we even made front page of the Straits Times on the day of New Year’s Eve and had our own radio show on Capitol 95.8FM!



BLYC exists as part of the Grassroots Organizations (GROs) network, a structure that works best for both the club and the community. Grassroots leaders lend their years of experience and organizational expertise by mentoring youth-initiated projects, allowing our members to learn the ropes while growing resilient and mature. This structure also ensures the success of service projects by providing sufficient funding and support.

*From 2013 onwards, BLYC will run as a Student-Interest Group (SIG). What this means is that anyone can join and experience tons of meaningful service opportunities (see the FAQ section for more details)!
